Herfolge Master Plan
This co-housing/town plan explores an environmentally sustainable model for growth while honoring the Danish commitment to social equality and community development. It is comprehensive and includes facilities for habitation, work, education, recreation and energy production.

A distinct hierarchy of neighborhood is established within the overall plan, the smallest of which – the family-group – accommodates a dozen or so homes. Each family group includes a plethora of shared facilities. The overall plan encompasses the latest technologies in energy conservation and production. Co-generation, wind power, active and passive solar and lifestyle recycling concepts were developed and integrated at appropriate scales throughout.
